From the hostel, located on the Gran Via in Madrid, you can visit the historical center of Madrid, "Madrid de los Austrias," and the Plaza Mayor of Madrid (opened in 1620 and one of the most popular in Spain), which demonstrate the splendor that reached the city in the XVI and XVII.
Very close to the Plaza Mayor is the Palacio Real de Madrid, a monumental building of the seventeenth century that blends the baroque and neoclassical styles. Next to the Palacio Real, is the Plaza de Oriente, the Opera Theater and the Almudena Cathedral.
Near Hostal Pereda find the legendary Sun Gate and next to it the "Art Walk", which are located the most important museums of Madrid, elegant palaces and buildings such as the Bank of Spain or the Palacio de las Telecomunicaciones, close to those who have been sources of Cibeles and Neptune.
Madrid has 73 museums among which the Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum (paintings, sculptures and tapestries ...) and the Reina Sofia, dedicated to Spanish contemporary art of Picasso, Miró, Dalí and Juan Gris.
During his visit to Madrid, do not forget to visit the extensive Parque del Retiro, Casa de Campo and Parque Juan Carlos I, where touring can enjoy the sun or paddle in their ponds.
In the evening enjoy the vibrant nightlife of Madrid. Madrid is full of a wide range of bars, pubs, discos and flamenco, which can be alternated during the day with the traditional festivals, popular festivals or the San Isidro bullfighting fair.
